We aim to provide those in need with free advice and support when they are going through tough legal challenges. We are are not legal experts, and we do not profess to be either, but we have all been there, we know the stress the and pressure legal fights can bring. The changes to LAPSO have increased that pressure 100 fold, the number of legal aid firms has dropped dramatically, and the funding crisis for those remaining has got worse, access to adequate legal defence is becoming increasing difficult, not because the solicitors and barristers are not competent, but because they lack the financial and human resources to do an adequate job – there are only so many pennies and hours to go around sand still pay the piper, they are humans too, not automatons.
Unless you have very deep pockets and can pay directly, your chances of having first class representation is a crap shoot. We aim to help in whatever way we can. We will lean on helpful solictors and barristors who are willing to give up a few minutes of their time to answer your questions, we will help you write letters to the court if necessary, and we will do all we can to make your experience less stressful and less painful.
If you are incarcerated and need advice on an appeal, to complete forms or have them completed on your behalf, then we can help as far as the law allows.
